How does the LoL Rank Checker work?

Enter your Riot ID (name and tag) and select your server. We look up your current Ranked Solo/Duo standing (or Flex, if you're only ranked there) - tier, division, LP, wins and losses.

Why is there no rank trend on my first check?

Riot's public API doesn't expose a per-match LP change. We build your trend from your own rank history the more you use the tool - check back after a few games to see it.

What is MMR in League of Legends?

MMR is the hidden matchmaking rating behind your visible rank. Riot doesn't publish it, so this tool works from what the public API does expose - tier, division, LP, wins and losses - and tracks how your standing moves between checks.

Why do I gain less LP per win than I lose per loss?

Your hidden MMR is probably below your current rank, so the system is correcting you downward. A winning streak against equal or higher-ranked players is the only thing that fixes it.

Does this work for Flex queue?

Yes. We show your Ranked Solo/Duo standing first; if you're only ranked in Flex, that queue is used instead.

Do I need to log in to check my LoL MMR?

No. Rank, LP and win rate are free without an account. For the advanced analysis (an MMR estimate from the ranks in your recent lobbies, your last 10 ranked matches and champion performance) you only enter your email. If you are already signed in, it opens straight away.

How often is the data updated?

Every check pulls live data from Riot's API when you submit. The same Riot ID is cached for about two minutes, so a game you just finished may take a moment to show up.

What Is Climb Score?

LP shows your progress inside your current division, but it resets every time you rank up or down. Climb Score compares your overall standing to the average player at your rank and factors in your recent LP trend, giving you a clearer picture of whether you're genuinely improving over time. Note: Climb Score isn't shown for Master, Grandmaster, or Challenger, since those tiers have no LP cap to compare against.

Why Does My MMR Change?

League's hidden MMR updates after every ranked game, mostly on the win or loss itself. When it's higher than your visible rank you gain more LP per win and lose less per loss; when it's lower, the opposite happens. Fresh seasons, placement games and long streaks move it the most - which is why your LP trend over a stretch of games says more than any single result.

How to check your MMR in League of Legends

League of Legends does not show your MMR in the client, and Riot does not publish it. You can still read it from two signals: the LP you gain for a win compared with the LP you lose for a defeat, and the ranks of the players in your games. Gaining more than you lose means your MMR sits above your rank; losing more means it sits below. This checker shows your rank, LP and win rate right away, and with your email it estimates your MMR from the ranks in your last 10 ranked lobbies. Check again after a few games to see your LP trend.
