Valorant Premier: Your Gateway to Top-Tier Competition
Valorant Premier is Riot Games’ newest competitive mode, designed to take your play beyond Radiant-level Ranked. Similar to Clash in League of Legends or Faceit in CS:GO, this mode offers a structured path for teams who want more intense challenges—and a shot at stepping into pro-level tournaments.
What Is Valorant Premier?
This mode caters to players who want an esports-like experience. By forming or joining a squad of 5–7 members, you’ll face scheduled weekly matches and tournaments within your division. Think of it as a more organized version of Ranked, but with higher stakes and bigger rewards.
Core Features & Format
- Team Requirement: You need a roster of 5–7 players.
- Weekly Matches: Compete in up to two Bo1 matches each week on a preselected map.
- Scoring Points (PS): Winners earn 100 PS, losers earn 25 PS.
- Playoff Bracket: Teams with 375+ PS qualify for a single-elimination Main bracket—plus a Consolation bracket for early-round eliminations.
Acts, Divisions & Playoff Tournament
A Premier season splits into three phases: Enrollment (team formation), Weekly Matches (regular competition), and Playoffs (single-elimination bracket). The best teams from each division compete for the Division Champion title in the Main bracket, while teams knocked out early can still fight for third place in the Consolation bracket.
How Premier Matches Work
Premier matches are scheduled in advance. Each team competes at set times, so you’ll need to coordinate your roster. Games are standard 5v5, but they include a map pick/ban stage before each Bo1, adding strategic depth. If the game reaches 12–12, special Overtime rules kick in:
- Overtime Priority: The team that hits 12 rounds first picks sides.
- Two sets of Overtime with standard rules. If still tied, a Sudden Death decides the winner.
Why Play Valorant Premier?
- A Path to Pro: Riot plans to integrate Premier with the VCT Challengers leagues, offering a direct route into esports events.
- Unique Rewards: Earn special titles, cards, and bragging rights—plus test your skills against teams who take the game seriously.
- High-Stakes Format: The scheduled nature of weekly matches adds pressure and excitement that’s missing from normal Ranked.
Upcoming Rewards in Valorant Premier
Players can expect exclusive perks like a premier cardback and a specialized in-game title upon reaching certain milestones. Keep an eye on official Riot announcements for detailed reward structures each season, as these may evolve over time.

If you’ve hit level 20 and have a capable crew—or you’re willing to form one—Premier is your shot at more intense, organized Valorant competition.
