Weekly TFT Meta Analysis: Patch 14.3 Breakdown and Tier List

•Hey everyone, welcome back to our weekly champion strength analysis. Similar to our LoL tier list, our TFT tier list is curated in collaboration with top-level players. This list is optimized to help you climb. Patch 14.3 has just been released, and while there are some meta changes, the patch is on the smaller side. With Set 3.5 Revival currently out and Set 11 on the horizon, the meta is likely going to change less and less until the new Set releases. TFT Tier List for Patch 14.3

Early Game Tier List:

•Optimal (S-tier) Champions: Kai’Sa, Gnar, Kayle, Senna, Aphelios, Twitch, Bard, Garen, Jinx, Taric, Corki, K’Sante, Olaf, Evelynn, Annie

•Great (A-tier) Champions: Jax, Katarina, Pantheon, Seraphine, Vi, Tahm Kench, Kennen, Nami, Lillia

•Good (B-tier) Champions: Gragas, Yasuo

Mid Game Tier List:

•Optimal (S-tier) Champions: Amumu, Lulu, Ekko, Sett, Urgot, Miss Fortune, Vex, Seraphine, Kayle, Kai’Sa, Gnar, Twitch, Bard, Garen, Senna, Annie, Corki, Taric, Jinx, K’Sante, Evelynn, Olaf

•Great (A-tier) Champions: Lux, Neeko, Riven, Samira

Late Game Tier List:

•Optimal (S-tier) Champions: Yorick, Lucian, Jhin, Sona, Ziggs, Illaoi, Zed, Ezreal, Ahri, Viego, Caitlyn, Akali TD, Ekko, Lulu, Miss Fortune, Vex, Urgot, Amumu, Sett

•Great (A-tier) Champions: Qiyana, Kayn, Thresh, Karthus, Zac, Poppy, Twisted Fate, Akali KDA, Blitzcrank, Mordekaiser, Yone, Lux, Riven, Samira, Neeko

Recent Changes:

•True Damage: Many of the True Damage champions like Ekko and Akali are moving up into S tier. True Damage is looking much stronger in Patch 14.3 and will likely be a top comp for this patch.

•Ahri (S tier): Ahri is moving back up into S tier this patch, and we expect K/DA comps to perform better this patch than last one.

•Yone (A tier): Yone is moving down to the A tier. He’s been a decently strong reroll carry for a while now, but he’s moving down our tier list quite substantially this patch.

•Mordekaiser/Karthus (A tier): Karthus got some love last patch, but we’re moving both of these units down to A tier this patch. Pentakill is still a solid trait, but the Akali flex is really what carries the comp.

TFT Tier List Methodology:

•Our goal is to deliver the most accurate tier list we can. When data becomes available, we will add that to our decision-making process as well.

•To ensure accuracy, we work with experts with multiple Queen accounts like Ace of Spades and Saintvicious to scientifically test hypotheses and come to logical conclusions. We will update these as frequently as possible until the meta settles.

•We justify our decision-making in the notes, so be sure to read that and weigh in. We welcome feedback to figure out what we missed!

Units are valued in the following ways:

•S-tier: Super powerful and contested champs that everyone wants and forms comps around.

•A-tier: Champs that fit very well into powerful comps in the meta.

•B-tier: Champs that are situational but still fit into good comps.

•Not on the list: Champs that are rarely contested and have better alternatives for their comps or just don’t fit into a strong comp at all.

•In the current state of the game, items are a big component of champ strength, and champs that work well with them are high value. Right now, we’ll be organizing by unit cost. This allows you to understand when a champion is valuable and when they start to fall off. This also allows you to understand how you should value your economy with the rolls you are getting. If this doesn’t work out or is too complex, then we will iterate in the future.

We evaluate a specific unit at a specific point in the game assuming it has a reasonable rank for that point and it’s in a comp that works for it. If a unit usually carries and has good items, it is evaluated in that context since items are so integral to the game. Please remember that TFT is highly situational so ALL units can be used.
