TFT Cyber City: New Traits, Hacks & Champions in Set 14
Discover everything new in Teamfight Tactics Set 14: Cyber City, including traits, Hacks, champions, and cosmetics. Prepare to boost your TFT rank with the latest updates launching April 2!
Cyber City’s New Set Mechanic: Hacks
Teamfight Tactics Set 14 introduces an all-new mechanic called Hacks. These randomized events disrupt traditional gameplay elements like the shop, item bench, Carousels, and Augment rounds. Occurring roughly three times per game, Hacks simulate a screen-glitching “cyber interference,” forcing players to adapt on the fly.
For instance, a hacked Augment round may give players the choice between two Silver Augments or one powerful Gold Augment. Some rare events may even provide a four-Augment setup. This innovation increases unpredictability and encourages more dynamic decision-making each match.
New Traits and Origins in Cyber City
Cyber City brings a futuristic, cyberpunk feel to TFT with new traits and faction mechanics designed to add strategy and chaos in equal measure. Here’s what to expect:
- Street Demon – Champions gain massive stat bonuses when positioned in special hexes. Signature hexes give even greater power boosts.
- Anima Squad – Inspired by LoL’s Swarm mode, these champions deploy auto-firing weapons that scale throughout battle.
- Golden Ox – Units deal more damage and drop gold during fights. Spending more gold in one turn amplifies the trait’s reward loop.
- Cypher – Champions collect Intel by eliminating enemies or winning rounds. Intel is exchanged during specific events for powerful rewards.
- Syndicate – One unit wears a “Kingpin Hat” and becomes hyper-enhanced. At 5 and 7 Syndicate units, additional buffs and Kingpins are unlocked.
- Cyberbosses (Yordles) – These Yordles grow in size and strength as they level, transforming into late-game monsters with game-breaking potential.
New Champions in Cyber City
Cyber City debuts a diverse champion roster mixing returning icons and new faces:
- 1-Cost: Shaco
- 4-Cost: Brand, Aphelios
- 5-Cost: Aurora, Kobuko (Battle Boss style)
- Others: Samira, Viego, Renekton, Garen, Zac, Urgot
Expect powerful new synergies as these champions combine with Cyber City's futuristic traits and mechanics.
Returning Features & Cosmetics
Glitched Carousels return from past sets, further amplifying the random excitement of Cyber City matches. Riot is also releasing a range of cosmetic updates, including:
- Project: Vayne Unbound
- Chibi Forecast Janna
- Project: Edgefall Arena
- New Little Legends: Kuro & Shiro
- Portal Skins
