League of Legends: Season 2024 Overview

Hello there! Riot Brightmoon and Meddler recently provided an insightful rundown of what's in store for League of Legends Season 2024. In today's developer update, various members of the Riot team joined forces to shed light on our plans for the year ahead. Here's a quick overview of the changes and announcements:

January 10: Season 2024 Cinematic Release

Mark your calendars for the release of the League of Legends Season 2024 cinematic.

Ranked System Changes

We're implementing targeted adjustments to the Ranked system to ensure a fairer evaluation of skill, reducing instances of encountering smurfs or players with vastly different ranks in your matches.

New Champions and VGUs

Skarner is gearing up for release in the first half of the year. A champion from Arcane is set to receive a VGU. Shyvana is undergoing a VGU, with plans for release in 2025. Introducing Smolder, the Fiery Fledgling, the newest ADC joining the League. A mid-range mage solo-laner will follow Smolder. Ambessa Medarda is also slated to debut in League of Legends Season 2024.

Arcane Season 2

We'll be celebrating the release of Arcane Season 2 in League of Legends this November.

Champion Mastery System Update

Stay tuned for details on the revamped champion mastery system, as discussed in today's dev blog.

Return of Game Modes

URF and One-For-All will be making a comeback in the first half of the year, with more modes set to return later.

New Thematics and Skins
